Wally Daniel is GGC’s founder and serves as Principal Consultant.
His unique experience and professional development set him apart as an interdisciplinary leader and systems thinker. A fully proficient lab and field scientist, he’s also had expert training in horticulture, CEA and Lean manufacturing. He has over 12 years experience cultivating Cannabis at multiple commercial-scale farms and facilities. He’s operated and advised on a multitude of cultivation methodologies ranging from precision chemistry hydroponics to hybrid conventional / organic soilless media models to raised bed ‘living soil’ and NOP-compliant modified row cropping systems.
Wally is a trained scientist supporting seasoned experience in biology, botany, biogeochemistry, horticulture and crop science. He earned his B.S. in Biology from the College of Charleston where he was one of five recipients of Departmental Honors. He studied biogeochemistry of soils, groundwater and seas at Stony Brook University, where he earned his M.S. researching seasonal trace mineral cycling.
Wally prides himself in being personable, approachable and savvy with ‘the numbers’. His myriad experiences fuel his convictions to make data-driven decisions, set realistic financial expectations – and build trust. He’s a ‘get-it-done’ type of person, but with a high standard of quality and moral aptitude. In Wally’s opinion, the success of any project – or relationship – is predicated on building credibility with consistency and continuity of action – and communication.
